Re: Mother's Day
Emma! When she was born in 1952 and when she was growing up, my mom thought Emma was such a weird name and she never encountered anyone with it. Nowadays she meets little ones named Emma everywhere she goes!Mom's first and middle named are Emma Jean, and that's what my grandma called her - lots of people thought she was Imogene when she was little.Once a waitress asked if Emma was short for Emerald, because the waitress had a niece named Emerald that they called Emma - my mom told her that no one would have been named Emerald in 1952. (It was honestly kind of rude the way my mom said it, but I kind of thought she had a point lol.)
