BA: Jimmy Kimmel's daughter's baby
Comedian and TV host Jimmy Kimmel's daughter Katie gave birth to a girl named Patti Joan! What do you think?I like Patty/Patti as a nickname for Patience.

I sounds very dated. I am not a fan.
That being said, it is a classic choice. I'm happy for his daughter.
Very boomer, but in a cute way. I don’t like Patti as a full name though. I like Joan a lot.
I like it!
I don't like Patti or Joan, or how they sound together. I'm sure her name sounds refreshing to a lot of people, though.

Sounds very 40s/50s.
I think it's a good combo. Could work as a double barrel name.
I would rather Patricia, at least she could go by it or by Tricia and not sound like a burger.
But it's cute all the same. Very poodle-skirt and ponytail and sock-hop.
I do NOT like Patty/Patti. Joan is good, but Patti is awful.
Keeping in mind if Joan was after one of the grandmas and we are assuming that Patti was one of the other grandmas as well... I wonder if Patti was just what she preferred or the legal name as well?
Joan is Jimmy's mother's name / Katie's grandma so I'm guessing Patti is one of the other grandmothers as well. Patti Joan is very very retro indeed. My Nana was a Patricia that despised being called Patty or Patsy. It was Pat or Patricia or nothing at all. I'm not a huge fan of it either out of respect for Nana's preferences. Patti looks kind of odd not as a nickname, but I could theoretically like it if I sat with it a bit. I bet if I knew a little girl named Patti Joan it would grow on me. Same way Ruthie grew on me after knowing one. Not my style.. but wearable I think, yes.
That would be a great name for a child born in 1950.Patti as a given name is bad. I like-ish Joan.
Whoa, didn't think I'd ever see Patti/Patty again.
The whole combo is a blast from the past. It's feeling very tired and dated...
I don’t like Patti, but Joan is okay.
I love Joan, but dislike Patti. It's a bit jarring to see Patti on a baby, but I also know a toddler Brenda. I've also seen Gary and Barry recently. These are now grandparents and great grandparent names. So we're going to see a lot of them.

Wow, Patti as a full name? Very rock n' roll. I immediately thought of Patti Smith and Joan Jett. A very cute, extremely retro combo. I suppose Katie felt no worries about giving her daughter a nickname-name, since she grew up with one and turned out all right! Patricia Joan is nice too, but Patti Joan definitely has a particular vibe to it.
According to Jimmy's Wikipedia page Katie is short for Katherine. But then again Wiki is unreliable so who knows.
Katie is short for Katharine according to People magazine.
Patti sounds like a nickname. I don't like the spelling with an i at the end. I would prefer Patty with a y. Patricia is a guilty pleasure name for me. I don't care that it's dated. I would like Patricia Joan much better.
