I got you girl. Rated all your names. We have similar taste, I like a lot of the same. Tanya is so sweet to me. I have echolalia because of my autism... usually I mask it as an adult but when I was a teenager and sometimes used names to stem and calm myself, Tanya was one of them. It felt soothing, maternal, warm and smelling of spices to me. It was one of the names that helped me calm down when overstimulated. But I'm sure that sounds incredibly weird and odd. Oh yes I love Nerissa and Tabitha, they are some of my favorite ideas.

Out of curiosity, do you pronounce Tanya with 2 syllables or 3? For me, it's definitely 2 (tahn-YAH). The spelling Tania, on the other hand, is 3 - (tah-NEE-uh). And the first syllable is never the word "tan".

I'm forever getting corrected, even by people who don't have the name, lol.

I think pronunciation can vary depending on the individual. I met a girl at college named Giovanna that pronounced it like 'Geo-vana" instead of the Italian way like jo-Van-ah. For what it's worth, I pronounce it Tahn-Yah, or for Tonya I enunciate the o a bit more in comparison.
