Elliana
A few years ago I really loved the name Eliana. After a while, I found it rather bland, but I still like the meaning. I pronounce it more like eh-lee-AH-na, with a long eh-sound, a bit like the French é.
I used to think that Elliana looked misspelled, but I recently met one and she pronounced it ell-lee-AH-na. So beautiful! I like that pronunciation much better.
Do you pronounce them the same? Do you like Eliana or Elliana? I like Elliana with the nickname Ellie. Thoughts?

Sorry, I'm going to be the wet blanket here... I don’t like Elliana / Eliana at all. I just really don't get the appeal. But, then again, I hate Ellie as a NN (it just sounds awful to me) so I don't tend to like Elli- names. I knew a little Ellyana many years ago now - she was a sweetie, but it didn't change my opinion of her name.
I pronounce them the same, as eh-LYA-na. I have to say I had been neglecting Eliana in comparison to other El- names like Elle, Eliora, Elena or Eleanor, but now I think it's harmonious and sunny. I also like Elliana, but the extra L merely serves as a complement. I like Elianna better than Elliana, it looks less stuffy. Ellianna is nice as well. Ellie is cute as a nickname but since it's so overused I'd rather use Elle or Liana.
I don't really have strong feelings about this name, but I prefer it spelled Eliana. It looks more elegant, and more likely to be a name with some history.
I say Elliana and Eliana the same way. El-ee-AW-nah. Like Ariana, but with an El-.
Elliana nn Ellie is very... I don't know, "mainstream American suburban princess". And I'm not super into that. But I can appreciate what it's trying to do. I get the same vibe from it as names like Bellamy, Sienna, Everett, Emery, etc.

I like it, though not enough to use, I pronounce it Ehleeana, slightly confused how to pronounce it otherwise. Elliana does look misspelled.
I met an Eliana, and she pronounced it ell-lee-AH-na.
That's how Americans normally pronounce it, I think.
I don't think American English speakers ever really make an unstressed E, even the first E in Elena, sound like an eh/ay sound. Without a noticeable effort, anyway.
I don't like Elliana because it's like Allison and Nichole and Bridgette and Caitlynn. I feel like the added letters make them less elegant, and they're conflations of different names or different origins. Like seared scallops with a side of mac'n'cheese. Like a rambler with a terracotta tile roof. My own name is like this.
Elliana is still a nice name, just less impressive to me than Eliana.

It's too frou frou for me.
I like it at alot! I like it ee lee ah na pronunciation betterm
Eliana is one of my least favorite names, so I naturally hate Elliana. For what it’s worth, I pronounce the two identically.
I like Eliana or Ellyana.
Eliana - eh-lee-AH-nah
Ellyana - el-LYAH-nah (double l indicates longer consonant)
If you do not know what I mean by longer consonant listen to pronunciation of Illya
