Ella vs Sophie
My husband and I have narrowed our baby's name down to two options.
Which one do you think works the best?Ella Yoon-Ah Kim

For some reason I don't like Sophie that much... but I LOVE Sophia. So I guess if the choice was Sophia Yoon-Ah Kim nn Sophie I would probably choose that. But I like Ella much more than just Sophie, so because it is not Sophia I would choose Ella Yoon-Ah Kim.

I prefer Sophie, but there are millions of little Sophies so I shall say Ella. It's a pretty and feminine name and I think the nn Ellie is cute =)

Really tough decision!Ella is so cute and pretty, but so is Sophie. Everyone here seems to be in favor of Ella, but I think with the MN of Yooh-Ah, Sophie would flow better. Hope you're happy in your decision!

I prefer Sophie. Ella (and Ava) are too celebrity trendy. Ella is actually quite popular. It ranked number 22 on the list of the most popular names for girls in the U.S. in 2005 while Sophie ranked number 134. Sophia has gotten very popular, and Sophie is obviously very close to Sophia. I still prefer Sophie though.

Ella is a gorgeous choice...Sophie is nice, too but Ella has a sophistication that Sophie doesn't. Have you considered Sophia? That way, your baby girl can go by Sophie, but can choose Sophia later in life (it sounds like a woman's name rather than a girl's).
