Aurora -love the name, but namver heard of Aurora -Colorado.
Angelus -it's a Latin name and I think that most people who use it have naver heard of Angelus Hills.
The same goes for Bethany,Blaine,Belle,Orlando.
Of course Ireland,Americus,Dallas,Paris and Houston(you don't have it) are very well known cities, but stil they were named after people(not Ireland,Israel,China,India...)Another one you didn't mention is Brooklyn -which is obviously not a personal name.

Brooklyn = Combination of Brook and Lyn :)
Not necessarily the city...

Most of those cities have been named after PEOPLE so, would the child's name really be after a CITY - I just think it's silly to think that.

I didn't know Aurora was a name of a city, it makes me think of the princess on sleeping beauty

i knowthat's what it reminds me of too. it wasn't until i did some research that i found out it was a city also.
if i named my daughter Aurora it would be after the Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty is my favorite movie)

I have only read the Disney story, and I always think of her as Briar Rose. When I read fairy tales, I always have to change the characters to be more sensible. I prefer The Princess Tales, and The Ordinary Princess. If I used Aurora, it would be after the Aurora Borealis, which I think is quite pretty enough to be named after.

AURORA f Roman Mythology
Means "dawn" in Latin. Aurora was the Roman goddess of the morning.(The city was obviosuly named after her - there is also a city in Ontario called Aurora).
