Chretienne?
This was the birth name of Christina of Lorraine (who became the Grand Duchess of Tuscany- Galileo wrote his famous essay to her).I was wondering if anyone knew the meaning of Chretienne? And how do you pronounce it?Thanks!

This is just an older French version of Christine and so means "Christian". The surname of the former Prime Minister of Canada, Jean Chretien, is just the masculine form of the same name.http://canadaonline.about.com/od/primeminister/p/pmchretien.htmYou can hear how to pronounce it here:http://forvo.com/word/jeunesse_ouvri%C3%A8re_chr%C3%A9tienne/
