Veness, origin and meaning

Hi, does anybody know anything about the origin and meaning of the name Veness? I think it is old Norman but don't know anything else!

Vanessa is known to be a normand variant of the latin name Bernice/Berenice. Veness as well i suppose.bye :)

Another possible origin of the name might be the city of Venetia, Venice with a funny spelling.

I know the name Venessa (not VAnessa). It was a Roman princess living in Gaul (so it goes well with the old Norman background)...
About the meaning, I dunno... Maybe something involving the goddess Venus?
