Origin of Fiel
Does anybody know the origin of the surname Fiel? I believe it's origin is Spanish.

It could be a form of Felipe, or a Spanish form of Felix

If it is Spanish (it doesn't look very Spanish the was it is spelt), I have no idea. If it was German, it might represent the first part of old German names such as FILIBERT ior FILIMAR. This is what I found in a German book on surnames (> Fielmann).
