....was the name of the bar where young Ronald DeFeo (of "Amityville Horror" infamy) hung out immediately after shooting his entire family while they were asleep in their beds.

Which, if you ask me, just adds to the charm of such a pretty name as "Dakota Rose". :)

No. He was in HENRYS, drinking, ran home to get money, he couldn't get any, so he killed the whole family and ran back to Henrys saying he found his fam murdered. Joey Eschworth ran down to the house And called police. You used to be able to heR the 911 call on google.

The Dakota Rose was named Henry''s as of November 13,1974, the night Butch Defeo ran through its doors calling for help, after killing the other 6 members of his family.
