We adopted a 15 year old mother with an 8 month old baby. Audrey asked us to raise her son, Jayden, as our own, and we readily agreed. She's just too young to have that responsibility, and we're giving her a chance to be a kid for a few more years and still see her son grow up everyday. Both Audrey & Jayden have taken our last name.
