The birth of Princess Lara was a boon to Lucian and Adelia. Though their first few years as king and queen had gone relatively smoothly, things got a bit more difficult when the traitorous Duke Erik of Ronan was put on trial for starting a coup that killed Lucian's mother. Half of the kingdom was all for executing Erik, however, since Adelia was Erik's sister, it was a tricky situation. Though Adelia disliked her brother, she certainly didn't want him dead. And many of the other nobles of Dellorne were opposed to an execution. After much deliberation, it was decided that Erik and his heirs were to be stripped of their titles and banished from the Kingdom. While some were satisfied with this arrangement, many of the peasants wanted the duke to die, for killing their beloved.

Thus, Lara's birth helped bring more popularity to the royal family. Ever one was eager to see a new healthy heir. In Dellorne, gender doesn't matter when determining the next ruler, thus, unless she abdicates to a future sibling, Lara will be the next queen. Adelia and Lucian, are, however, expected to have more children, to help secure their royal line.
