Hi! We had a similar game a long while back, so I thought I'd revive it. I'll lay it out in steps here:

Step 1: Ascertain Your Names' Popularity
For this step, go to the year of your birth on BtN's popularity charts (you'll have to use the ones for the United States, because the other countries' lists don't seem to go back farther than 2000). Search for your first and (if applicable) middle names in the Top 1000 for that year: http://www.behindthename.com/top/lists/us/2013.

If you have a name that doesn't appear on the chart, then use this resource: http://www.random.org/. Set the brackets to be "between 1 and 1000," and generate a number.

Step 2: Generate New Birth Years
Now you'll need to use http://www.random.org/ to generate new years. Set the brackets between 1880 (the farthest the United States statistics go back) and 2013.

Step 3: Form New Names
Generate a year - say, 1972 - and go to that year's popularity chart. Find the numbers that correspond to your names' popularity in your birth year (or the numbers you generated for yourself), and voila! That is what you (hypothetically) would've been named that year.

You can do this using as many years as you like, and if you wish also for opposite gender names.
