Re: Create A Perfectly Imperfect Family

Adults:
Theodore Jeremy Ashworth AKA "Ted" AKA Allison's ex-husband, alcohol addict, and department store manager.
Allison Felicia Ashworth nee Pryde AKA Ted's ex-wife (or the absentee parent) and banker.
Duke Xavier Bellamy AKA Allison's college lover, ex-step parent, and real estate agent.
Elena Mercedes Cordeiro AKA Ted's foreign lover and self-help book author/motivational speaker. Kids:
Michael Gideon Pryde, aged 20- the eldest and only son of Duke.
Noelle Trinity Ashworth, aged 17- the twin of Harper, son of Ted and Allison.
Harper Rosemary Ashworth, aged 17- the twin of Noelle, daughter of Ted and Allison.
Judah Lionel Ashworth, aged 15- the son of Ted and Allison.
Roman Grey Cordeiro, aged 11- the only son of Elena and Ted.Back in college, Allison was absolutely in love with Duke, the most popular guy on campus. One night, after a few months into their relationship, during a frat party, they succumbed to the alcohol and had sex. A few weeks later, Allison discovered she was pregnant. Overjoyed to have a reason to stay with Duke, she told him in hopes they would get married. Instead, Duke became terrified, and broke up with Allison on the spot. All she knows was that he dropped out of college and took a trip across Europe to "find himself", eventually becoming a C-list actor in Germany. After dropping out of college to stay with her aunt Ruth to take care of Mikey after his birth, Allison became depressed without her beloved Duke. She soon depended on the bottle, spending more time wallowing in self-pity while drinking instead of being with Michael. Soon, after a year in a haze of depression and a drunken binge that left her in the hospital, Aunt Ruth knew what was up. So after taking Allison to rehab for a few months, Ruth put Allison back in college and made her go to Elena Cordeiro's self-help sessions. So Allison went back to college, and went to Elena's, the famous motivational speaker/author, and met another struggling ex-alcoholic, Ted. They had fallen in love with each other, and after six months of dating, they had gotten married and moved in together with Michael, now aged three. Allison had graduated from college as well as Ted, both finding jobs in as a department store worker and a banker, likewise. Everything was good for a while- Harper and Noelle were born, they got a nicer apartment, and things seemed to go great. Then, Judah was born.Allison had gotten depressed for a while after Judah was born, causing Ted to panic- was it his fault? Was he making her work to hard as a banker? Did he need to help out with the kids? Now, with four kids and a wife to feed, Ted felt pressured to get promoted in the store he worked at to try and help out Allison. But after becoming manager of the store, the pressures of both work and home got to him again, so he started drinking again for relief. One night, after a night out in the bar, he had a one-night stand. But the woman was none other than Elena Cordeiro, the same woman who helped him stop drinking. She decided to help him, feeling sorry for Ted, and they had a secret affair. Ted, like Elena, was falling in love with her because she was kinder and more helpful than Allison, who now was more concerned with work and the kids. Elena, on the other hand, was fixated on helping Ted. However, after a year of being with her, Elena got pregnant with a little boy. Ted, feeling guilty for a while, told Allison. Well, the result was not pretty. After a nasty fight between the two, Allison and Ted divorced, with Michael being five, Harper and Noelle three, and Judah still a baby. Ted moved in with Elena, who had her son, Roman. They still live together, Ted relapsing once in a while, but usually sober. Allison still lives alone with her kids, whom she got custody of, but trouble has not ended for her. Michael is a peaceful, kind twenty-year old who lived abroad for college, coming back home to help his family. While he means well, he's a bit of a control freak. He's gotten obsessed with his dysfunctional family, not wanting to end up like Ted, whom his beloved mother still scorns to this day. Half the money he earns goes to his family. He still lives with them, solving the daily problems they have. It's taken a toll on him, and one day he has an emotional breakdown at home. His mother checks him in at a psychiatrist's office, who has recommended meds for him.Noelle, one of the twins, hasn't had much affection in her life. Her father was absent, her mother was always at work and distant from her, and her siblings were just concerned for themselves. So in order to gain attention, Noelle went out partying and drinking, often away from home for weeks at a time. Then she started doing drugs, showing up to school stoned, and was stringing along ten guys at a time. One day, she discovered she was pregnant, and gave birth to a little girl named Summer Layla Ashworth. Her mother was furious, and was now giving Noelle hell for all the drugs she did, the parties she went to, and especially Summer. So Noelle, thinking that her mother despised her, ran away with Summer to her great-aunt Ruth's place. She now lives with Ruth, taking care of Summer, and tries to find recording studios to hone her talents as a singer. Harper, on the other hand, is much more mellow than her twin. Seen as the "perfect child", she's gorgeous, smart, a track and field star, and an artist/piano prodigy. But feeling pressured to do well in her screwed-up family, she started cheating on her tests in order to make life easier for her. But the most popular guy in school, Taylor Dallas De Grande, found out about her cheating, and decided to have a little fun with her. One day, he decided to blackmail Harper: if she doesn't go out with him, he won't tell them about her cheating, and even help her. Harper agreed to date him. Soon, the relationship turned violent, as he started slapping her when she annoyed him, lowering her self-esteem so she'd stay with him, and coerce her into sex when she didn't want it. However, in order to cope with the relationship, she told herself it was because he loved her that he didn't tell anyone about her cheating, and that he was trustworthy enough. Though no one knows about her and Taylor, she'd rather keep it that way and deal with it herself.Judah was always told by Noelle that he was the cause of Ted and Allison's divorce. So, in order to cope with this guilt and the insults from Noelle, he started to become the school bully to feel like he was in control. Beating up others until his knuckles went raw was a coping mechanism for Judah, especially after figuring out he was gay. Wanting to keep his "tough guy" image, he went on a rampage in school, beating people in order to forget about his family's problems and his own. One day, after being expelled form school, he told Allison he was gay. This was a little after Noelle running away and Michael's breakdown, so Allison didn't want to deal with anymore troubles. So she told Judah to just leave the house, and leave he did. For six months, he hitch-hiked and rode buses in order to find Ted and Elena, discovering who he was, the origin of his violent nature, and his sexuality. After making it to Ted and Elena's, they took him in, put him in school, and signed him up for martial arts. Now, Judah puts his hatred in fighting, and is debating on whether to go home to Allison or not. Now, it can be agreed that Roman is the most stable child out of all the children. At eleven years old, he has a happy life with Elena and Ted. He's closer to his mother than his father, who keeps a bit of a distance from him. He can speak Spanish fluently, and is a generally cheerful child (fun fact). But the guilt of being the kid that ruined Ted's marriage sometimes haunts him. Especially after Judah came to live with them. However, he tries to shrug it off, and decides to take the situations everyone has as it is.
