Young Simon and Hattie Elliston, the new Lord and Lady of Devon, had a very proper courtship. Long-winded, and well-chaperoned, with no way to sneak off to get to know one another on a more personal level. Still, they found that they liked each other well enough, and just over a year after they married they welcomed little Nate, who brought the couple (finally) close together in a way that they hadn't thought they would have in a marriage. And though they both come from smaller families they are looking forward to growing their own, knowing they have plenty of money to support any further bundles of joy.
