I really like
Genevieve. I like it with both the English and the French pronunciation. Many people say they only like it with the French pronunciation, and that the English pronunciation butchers it. I don't agree, and I think that it would be difficult to get English speakers to consistently use the French pronunciation. So I personally wouldn't use it if I didn't like the English pronunciation.
Robert is a name for which I like the nickname much more than the actual name. I like
Rob, but not
Robert. The "bert" ending puts it too close to names like
Herbert and
Egbert for me.
I don't like
Judith or
Jonas. No particular reason I can give, just that I don't like the sound of them. I particularly dislike the nickname
Judy. The others I'm pretty neutral about.
