I think Liss is one of those names that is usually a short form of another name ie Melissa Alicia Elisabeth, which is probably why you have found so many different meanings, it may not have a meaning of its own, some names dont and some names have several meanings according to the places the name originated from.
Ie The name Lis a short form of Elizabeth so may be thought to share the meaning of Elizabeth
Beth is also a short form of Elizabeth but it can also be a short form of Bethany so could be thought to mean the same as either name
