Ryo is now two years old and looks more like his dad every day, except for his green eyes. He's also developing his own personality, he's not afraid of anything and loves to laugh.
Ryo is has now become a big brother of two gorgeous girls! They have the same eyes as his :) They were just like
Ryo pretty small at birth and I didn't make it to nine months of pregnacy. Naming them was pretty difficult again since
Taro wanted Japanese first names again, but for girls I really didn't think it was a good idea. He gave in if we used his mothers initials for both the girls
and gave them Japanese mns. I agreed with that because I got the pick the exact names (which he could veto, and did that the first five combos I came up with!). Finally we agreed on
Tess Mariko and
Tamsin Midori (after
Tessie,
Tessa,
Taimi,
Trinity and
Tamar had been vetoed), I plan on calling
Tess by
Tessie, eventhough
Taro doesn't like it much, he thinks it doesn't age well.
We've found a chicken stuck in our fence with her head. She was exhausted and pinicking when we foudn her.
Taro broke the fence to get her out. We've tried to locate her owner, but didn't succeed to we decided to keep her as company for
Casimir :) We've named her
Nada, which means
Hope. We realised this wasn't the only meaning of the name when a friend of us said it was pretty cruel of us to name a pet "nothing". We hadn't taken the Spanish meaning into consideration....
Taro's younger brother and his wife were in a car accident.
Maya, the wife, died instantly and
Kenji,
Taro's brother, is still in the hospital in critical condition. We're going to look after his two children while
Kenji is still in the hospital, if he doesn't pull through we're considering to keep taking of them. Right now everything is uncertain, we hope he'll recover.
The children are
Ken James and
Emi Sora (they had the same naming discussions we had, and decided on Japanese names, that sounded like English names). Even though
Kenji is younger than
Taro, he's 25, both the children are older than ours.
Ken is 8 and
Emi is 4.
