I'm a little biased, but here's my take on Eve and its variations.
Eve - too Biblical for my taste (so yes, a bit much to saddle a child with) and also very short. I find it too short, very abrupt. Also it's slightly wordy (as in Christmas eve etc.). Sweet middle name though. Susannah Eve is lovely.
Evie - over the top cutesy, doesn't age well
I prefer Eva or Evelyn :)
