From Japanese 藍 (ai) meaning "indigo" or 愛 (ai) meaning "love, affection", and 二 (ji) meaning "two" or 次 (ji) meaning "next, second", and 郎 (ro) meaning "son". Other kanji combinations are possible. A notable bearer is Aijiro Wakita, a Japanese sculptor.
