I find this name as unisex, personally! I’ve only met a girl named Arlen. It’s a cool, uncommon name for anyone! Also, Arlyn is a nice spelling.

I have known two people named Arlen, one male and one female. To me, the name Arlen looks masculine, but sounds feminine. For a girl, Arlyn would probably be a better choice as it looks and sounds more feminine than Arlen.
