Possible transliteration of Ástríðr (Astrid), taking into account the 'th' pronunciation of the letter eth (ð) in Old English and Old Norse, as well as the modern pronunciation of modern Icelandic Ástríður. This is the first name of Astrith Baltsan, an Isreali concert pianist; it's uncertain if her name has the same etymological origins as Astrid.
