Cassander (Greek: Κάσσανδρος) was a Macedonian nobleman who lived in the 4th century BC.
For some reason, although I LOVE Cassandra, I don't like this at all!
Why does the Greek script say Kassandros though?
Cassander is so handsome! Is Cass appropriate for boys as a nickname?
I really like the name Cassander, I might consider using this if I ever have a son one day. I like the combinations of Cassander Leo and Cassander Leon. :)
Cassander is a very handsome name, and it sounds great on all ages!
I absolutely love Cassander. It sounds awesome!
Sandy and Sander could also be potential nicknames.
Sounds like someone was trying to be creative and combined Cassandra and Alexander. So this doesn't suit boys or girls to me.
Cassander is not a made-up masculine form of Cassandra. It just so happens that Cassandra is the feminine form of Cassander. It’s just like Alexander and Alexandra. It’s a nice name and it’s handsome for a boy. It will age well.
Pretty decent name here, don’t really go for Cass or Cassie but Andy and Sandy make great nicknames so I would use this name, not a very common name which makes it stand out to me in my opinion.
I actually think Cassie could work as a nickname. It makes sense, and there’s nothing wrong with a guy being a bit feminine. There are plenty of girls/women with masculine names, so why not the other way around?
LOVE this name! It sounds so handsome and strong, and ancient like other Greek names. The nicknames Cas and Andy are great. I also love the combo Leo Cassander.
Like, but NOT a fan of the potential nickname 'Cassy/cassie' which is way too feminine in my book.
But if you don't like Cassie, just use Cass or Andy. Simple.
