Meaning & History

From Japanese 房 (fusa) meaning "tassel", 之 (no), a possessive marker, combined with 輔 (suke) meaning "help". Other kanji combinations are also possible.

A famous bearer is Fusanosuke Natsume, a Japanese columnist, cartoonist. Born in Tokyo to Jun'ichi Natsume, son of novelist Natsume Sōseki, he attended Aoyama Gakuin University, which he graduated in 1973.
