From Japanese 稲 (ine) meaning "rice plant", 次 (ji) meaning "next, order, sequence" combined with 郎 (rou) meaning "son". Other kanji combinations are possible. A famous bearer was Inejiro Asanuma, a Japanese politician, and leader of the Japan Socialist Party.
