Meaning & History

From Japanese 泉 (izu) meaning "fountain, spring" combined with 夫 (o) meaning "man, husband". Other combinations of kanji characters are also possible.

Famous bearers are Izuo Hayashi, he was a Japanese physicist and Izuo Anno, a former Japanese Olympic athlete who participated in the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
