It is a shortened Islamic mysticism term that means "anything other than Allah (God)". The term is derived from mâ (thing) and sivâ (other). The uncut version is mâsivâ mâsivallah, mâsive’l-Hak. Due to its popularity in Islamic mysticism, saying mâsivâ instead of the uncut version is more than enough.
