The Turkish form of this name is Rabia. [noted -ed]
Rābiʻa al-ʻAdawiyya al-Qaysiyya (Saint Rabia of Basra) was allegedly the founder of Sufi mysticism. In Rabia's case, her name means "fourth", as opposed to "springtime".
Another spelling I have seen for this is Rabea or Rabeah.
The bad witch in the German tapes and books around the main charcter Bibi Blocksberg is called this.
Rabia is also the name of a Muslim mystic.
