Help[Opinions] Elijah and Birch
I met a mother, and she told me she had two children: Elijah and Birch. I told her they were nice names (I like Eljiah; and though Birch isn't really my style, it doesn't bother me too much) and asked what her sons' middle names were. Well... Elijah and Birch are girls.
Elijah Gabrielle and Birch Roxana.
What do you think of their names?

I like Elijah for a girl. However, it is totally unheard of where I live (Scotland) so people don't have pre-conceived notions of its being male, unless they're LotR fans who link it to Elijah Wood. If people were guessing the gender, they'd probably guess girl in fact, since Elijah sounds feminine.
I like it for a boy too though. Birch sounds hippy-ish to me, nmsaa.

Birch looks too much like Bitch - so really, I hate it.
As for the other - it's a boy's name.

Elijah is 100% boy to me. Birch is a little more tolerable for a girl, but the word still sounds more masculine to me.

Err...I really don't like Elijah and Birch on girls. I hate my own name, so I'm not really all for unisex names. Especially Elijah, which I love on a boy. Birch is an awesome name too....on a boy
