Love it!!!!!.....I studied Latin, and this name cropped up a few times. I really like it! Especially if you over-emphasise the first "c" so it sounds really throaty. (apparently how it was originally pronounced)

Yeah, it's originally pronounced almost like a "g" and Gaius actually is a varient.They will see us waving from such great heights,
'come down now,' they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away,
'come down now,' but we'll stay...

If it's pronounced as MelH says...That makes sense, but my brain also wants to say it as Cay-us. I think with the potential pronunciation problems, which may lead to spelling problems, it may lead into confusion all around. Plus, I don't find it masculine toned.
