As to two middle names, I don't think it would be too much of a hassle. I don't particularly have a stance. Never minded a lot one way or the other. I tend to just use one in my combos.

We use only one name, so 2 MNs do seem a bit too much to me. But unlike here, in English speaking countries you don't have to use all your names every time, so it's not such a problem.

I don't understand why people think of it as a nickname, though? It's no shorter than the name John and doesn't really sound anything like it, even if it was used as a nickname for John in the past.

I say, if you like the name Jack use it, not John, otherwise it could be really confusing for people.

I only like Jack as a nn, but, to tell the truth, I'm sick of it. I hate to describe names as boring, but Jack is awfully close.

I'm neutral about two middle names. I wouldn't want two, and I doubt I'll give two mns to my future children since I didn't with my eldest, but I generally think it's no big deal. My mom and her sister both have 2 mns. My mom only uses her first mn on all but the most official documents. My aunt tries to use both all the time, such as Linda M. A. Lastname. Naturally, it's a much bigger hassle for her, since she is often forced to drop a mn. I'm rambling, but my point is that whether or not it's a hassle will really be up to your child and how he/she views the name.

I've never known a Jack and have never known anyone who named their son Jack, so I'm not sick of it. I don't think it's as popular in the U.S. as it has been in Britain. I think it's an okay name. The problem is I still think of it as a nickname for John, and as such, I don't like it as a full given name. The same goes with Molly, Eliza, and Jenny. It doesn't matter to me how long they've been used as names in their own right, if they started out as nicknames, they still seem too nicknamey to me. If I wanted a Jack, I'd name him John, and if I wanted an Eliza, I'd name her Elizabeth, etc.
The only person I've ever known who had two middle names was my mother-in-law. The only time I ever heard her make a comment about it, she seemed contemptuous of the idea, and seemed to think that it was pretentious. I think it's alright if that's what you want to do, but in a way it seems pointless, because most people would be more or less forced to drop the second one, since most forms, job applications, etc., only have room for one middle name or middle initial.

I like Jack... i really can't think of any names to "spice it up"... PERSONALLY i can't think of alot of names that really flow well with Jack...

As for 2 middle names... i LOVE the idea of more than 1 middle name... (my son has 2 middle names, as will my futrue children...)

I like Jack, myself. And NOT as a nn for John (I've never understood that one). I think Jack is classic.

Jack, while in itself is a fine name, is super-de-duper trendy. I swear I could randomly throw a stone and hit a Jack every time.

I like the idea od having two mn's for the simple fact that you get to use more names! I wouldn't and won't be using two mn's though. I like the eveness of 1 fn, 1 mn and 1 ln!

I love the name Jack. To me it's masculine and classic, it's just very popular right now. I don't see it as trendy though, because to me trendy names are popular for that particular space and time and will age terribly. I love the following Jack combos:
