Both are fine, but it depends on my mood =)
If I were to use it in real life though, I'd probably use Sarah only to avoid (less) misspellings, as it's the more commonly used spelling. Other than that, I don't really have a preference.

Well I'm a Sarah and I much prefer the name with an h. It's not just because my name has that spelling either, I just think it looks more complete. I also pronounce them in different ways. Sarah is SAIR-ah, whereas Sara I pronounce as SAR-ah, like you're saying CAR-ah, unless they tell me otherwise. My name is Sarah Kate and I think that combo works really well. Both names are classics and the flow is really good. Plus, the meaning is really nice, Princess Pure, gotta love that!

I prefer Sarah because I'm used to it. Both are sah-rah to me.

I'm not particularly turned off by Sara. I'd use Sarah myself but don't think anything negative about Sara when I see it.
I'm tempted to say I like Sarah Elizabeth but that's almost too boring even for me, and I rely on classic names like... well, like very much. No apt simile is springing to mind. :-P Apart from that I like:

I think I'm slightly more partial to Sarah, though; it's the heroine's name in Labyrinth. I've never been really fond of the name before that (it's pretty boring), but it's been growing on me lately.

Me too. In the UK, Sara is usually Sah-ra to rhyme with Zara, Lara, Kara, Tara etc. Although some people use it as an alternative to Sarah.
I prefer Sarah as it's more classic but I find it a very boring name because I know so many of them! I'd put it with a more unusual middle name but can't think of any at the moment!

In America, Tara and Cara are often TAIR-a and CAIR-a. TAH-ra and CAH-ra feel more natural to me. I've never met a LAIR-a or a ZAIR-a, always LAH-ra and ZAH-ra. Outside of the US, I don't think "AIR" pronounciations are ever used for those names.

These names are pronounced differently for me - Sara is SAH-ra; whereas Sarah is SAIR-a, but I think I just figured out why Tara and Lara, etc are prn TAIR-a and LAIR-a for North American English speakers, if Sara sounds the same as Sarah there!

Definitely Sara
I love this name! In fact, it's one of my top favorites for a girl, at the moment. The spelling Sarah is nice enough, but for some reason (I'm not entirely sure why), without the "h" appeals to me far more. It's such a lovely, classy, feminine name that ages well...gorgeous imo! :-)

I much prefer Sara- my given first name. While it can look "incomplete" in some circumstances, I think that it has a prettier look to it. I love the names Sara Odette and Sara Odille.
