[Opinions] Susannah
I really like Susannah. Do you know any Susannahs? Do you prefer Susanna or Susannah? And WDYTO Susan? It always reminds me of the little girl in "Miracle on 34th Street" so it seems classic and not dated at all to me. Do you feel it's dated?Do you think Susan might get popular again? Susannah? Susanna?Which nicknames would become most common? Sue, Susie, Sukie, Zuzu?I really like Susannah nn Zuzu or Susan nn Zuzu. WDYT? Adelaida nn Ada and Susannah nn Zuzu for sisters? Or Adelaida nn Ada and Susan nn Zuzu?

I love Susannah. Susanna is nice too but I prefer Susannah. I don't know anyone named Susannah.I don't mind Susan, but it is quite dated and I prefer Susannah.I don't think Susan will get popular again for a while, but I do see Susannah rising.Susie, probably. My favorite is Sanna or Anna.I prefer the sibset of Adelaida and Susannah.

I love Susannah! I recently got into it when I decided to name one of my characters Susannah "Sosie". I personally prefer Susannah...the h just adds an extra little bit of completeness. And yes, I do know a Susannah / Susanna. One of my friends is named Susanna nn Susie. And I adore Susan. It's so sweet and gentle. I think that Susan is already starting to get popular again with the retro revitalization going on in names, although I don't think it'll become as popular as Ava or Lily. In terms of nicknames, I think that Sukie and Zuzu could become popular. Susie may become popular, but I don't think Sue will. Out of your potential sibsets, I think that I like Adelaida nn Ada and Susannah nn Zuzu the best. Susan's too informal to be paired with sophisticated Adelaida.

I like Susannah and Susan. Sue and Susie are ok, but I don't like Sukie or Zuzu (makes me think of a parrot).
I know a 50-year-old Susan and a Suzanne "Suzie" who's about 20.

I know one Susannah, and she is my age. She is really obnoxious, and I find the name obnoxious because I associate it with her. I don't think I liked it before I knew her either though. I just don't like the sound of it, and when looking it, all the repeated letters bother me. Every time I hear the name, I want to sing "Oh! Susanna."I could see Susannah/Susanna becoming popular again, but not Susan. I find all of them quite dated though.

I know one Suzanna who is 19 and one Susana who is 13 but no Susanna's / Susannah's. I prefer it without the h though.I like the name Susan very much, though I can't use it because a person I used to be friends with destroyed it for me.I think Susan has a good 30-40 years before popularity returns, Susanna might get popular in the next 20-25 years, but I doubt it. I think Suzie/Susie/Suzy would be likely as would Anna, as Susana is known as both Suzy and Ana to her brothers, sister, and step-sisters.I really dislike Zuzu though, it makes me think of Zazu, the bird from the Lion King and I always hated him when I was a small child, so I guess it's carried over. Adelaida nn Ada is beautiful though, and I also love nns Laidey, Addy, Adele, Della etc. Adelaida and Susan would be nice for sisters :).

I really like Susannah too, I much prefer it with the 'h', it looks more complete.
Susan's ok. It does feel a little dated to me, but my initial association is with 'Little Friend Susan' in the Milly Molly Mandy books so it's a little girls' name to me too.
I don't know whether Susan will come back in in the near future, it's still a 'mum's' name IMO. I can Susannah happening though, it's quite sweet.
Susie would be the most common nn I think, although Suki might come in too. Personally, I prefer Sanna.
I prefer Adelaide to Adelaida (also, Adelaida and Susannah might seem a bit matchy with the same endings), but Adelaida (Ada) and Susannah (Zuzu) would be cute sibset.

I really like Susannah. Do you know any Susannahs? Do you prefer Susanna or Susannah?
I love Susannah, too, though I prefer Susanna by far. But both are just stunning. I know no Susanna(h), just a lot of Susannes. And WDYTO Susan? It always reminds me of the little girl in "Miracle on 34th Street" so it seems classic and not dated at all to me. Do you feel it's dated?
I don't like Susan at all. It doesn't seem nearly as elegant and timeless as Susannah. I have no idea what "Miracle on 34th Street" is, but it does remind me of "Desperate Housewives".Do you think Susan might get popular again? Susannah? Susanna?
I kind of doubt Susan will get really popular again, but I definitely see Susanna(h) rising again. Whoa, I just noticed Susannah hasn't been in the Top 1000 for a really long time and Susanna dropped out, too. I didn't know that.Which nicknames would become most common? Sue, Susie, Sukie, Zuzu?
I like Sue best. Susie seems soooo childish. Sukie just sounds really, really Japanese to me.I really like Susannah nn Zuzu or Susan nn Zuzu. WDYT? Adelaida nn Ada and Susannah nn Zuzu for sisters? Or Adelaida nn Ada and Susan nn Zuzu?
Well, I don't like Zuzu at all. The repetetive syllable gets on my nerves, much like "Lily". I definitely like the sibset Adelaida and Susannah, though.

what?you don't know "Miracle on 34th Street"? It's a classic christmas movie, from 1947. Starring Natalie Wood. You should watch it, it's amazing! One of my favorite movies, and now that christmas is just around the corner it would be the perfect time to rent or buy it :)

Lololol"Miracle on 34th Street" isn't just one movie. There are at least two versions decades older than the Natalie Wood version! Plus the gorgeous 1990s version. It's been done many times.I like the 1950s and 1990s ones best.

uhm nothe 1947 version with Natalie Wood is the original one. There are several others from 1955 and 1973 but those aren't well known. The newest one is from 1994 and also quite popular. but the original is the one i mentioned, from 1947.

Oh, I didn't know it was that famous! All right, I promise the next time I go to the video rental store, I'll look for it. Thanks for the recommendation! :)

you're welcome :) but make sure you get the 1947 classic and not the 1994? remake (it's good as well but not as good) and get it before christmas. I will watch it again the day before christmas or so. already looking forward to it :P

All right, I'll get the original. Remakes are seldomly as good as the original movies. I was planning to go to the video rental store this week anyway because my friend wants to do a video night. I'll write it down, otherwise I'll probably have forgotten it by tomorrow. :P

oh andZuzu is also from a classic christmas movie, "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart. A great christmas classic. You should watch it in case you haven't yet. hehe I just love christmas so maybe that's why I like those names so much.

Wow, it's getting embarrassing but I don't know "It's a Wonderful Life" either. Jeez, do the gaps in my education never end? I'll look for that one too. :)
