So I originally strongly disliked this name and the Arthurian legends didn't help it much either. But lately I've been watching a lot of Merlin (yes I know it's not that great of a show but neither is Glee really and I love that too) and the bad association held with Guinevere sort of neutralized itself out. Consequentially, I'm warming up to it as a GP. I don't think I'd ever use it unless I warmed up a lot to it and stuck it in as a middle name but I wanted to know other people's opinions/comments/combos. So far I have:

Mary Guinevere
Iris Guinevere
Alice Guinevere

Guinevere Ruth
Guinevere Maria
Guinevere Therese / Theresa
Guinevere Elanor
Guinevere Loreta

Also do you think Guin/Gwen is the only nickname for the name?

I like Mary Guinevere and Guinevere Elanor.

I think you could use Vera as a NN.

I like it, but I'd also only use it as a mn.
I like Alice Guinevere, Iris Guinevere, and Guinevere Elanor.
Also Anna Guinevere, Isis Guinevere, Guinevere Hera, Guinevere Rose, Guinevere Morgan, Lyra Guinevere, Guinevere Lilac, Guinevere Shae, Guinevere Marian, Kyra Guinevere, Guinevere Mairwen, Elia Guinevere, Guinevere Pascale, Guinevere Rhian, Guinevere Morwen, Elspeth Guinevere, Guinevere Branwen, Opal Guinevere, Selene Guinevere, Cecily Guinevere, and Fiera Guinevere.
Vera and Ginny work as nn's. I also sort of like Guin.

I think it's pretty and I love the Arthurian legend association, but I agree that it's more GP territory. I like your Alice Guinevere the best out of those, but my favorite combo with it is Eloise Guinevere. I don't like Gwen, though.

In The once and future king, TH White has Lancelot call Guinevere Jenny, once he's fallen for her. Can't see it myself, but perhaps you can.
