[Opinions] Callie
WDYT of Callie? Could you possibly get away with it as a nn for Catherine rather than Caroline? I could kind of even see using Callie as a fn by itself, not just as a nn.Also, any sibling or mn ideas? Thanks!

I think it could. My eldest is Katherine and for awhile, we called her Katie, but the weird thing is, Kassie would pop out of my mouth at the weirdest times. This happened for years. So if Kassie could work as a nn for Katherine, then Callie could certainly work for Catherine.I like Callie a lot but for me, it would be a nick for Callista which I think is gorgeous.

I have seen as a first name. In fact, I like it as a nickname for Caroline, Calliope, or Calista or as a first name by itself.

I don't mind it, I like it as a nn for Calanthe or Calliope.

This is just about my favorite nickname ever. But I only like it as a nickname. I guess it could be used for either Catherine or Caroline, but I myself would use it as a nickname for Calanthe or Calanthia.

I like Callie. I definitely prefer it as a nickname, but it's not terrible as a given name.I really don't know how I feel about it as a nickname for Catherine, though...Besides Caroline, my favorite full names for it are Calanthe, Calla, Camellia, Camilla, and Camille.

My SIL is CallieJust Callie, not short for anything. It could work as a nn for Callista.

I'm not that fond of Callie, but I actually kind of like it as a nickname for Catherine.ETA: I think Margaret "Maisie" would make an excellent sister.

I like it. It's cute. I think it could work as a nickname for Catherine, too. I know a girl named Caledonia that went by Callie.Callie Augusta

I think it could work just fine as a nn for Catherine. It could also work as a full name, but it's nice to have something longer.Btw, do you like Calliope or Calista?

It sounds weird, but Calliope is one of those names I like more in theory than for an actual person.
