I was recently awakened to the graceful beauty of this name, and now I'm smitten. What do you think? The famed interaction between Zeus and Leda doesn't bother me; rather, I think it enriches the name.

I really like Lita, too, but I think I prefer that as a nickname for Margalit.

My grandmother came from a very religious church when she was younger and on the way to a wedding she mentioned remembering a girl named Leda. I think it's an awesome name.

And how many people know enough about Greek Mythology to know anything about Zeus turning into a swan and seducing the Queen of Sparta.

I really like Leda Celeste.

I like it! It has a down-to-earth beauty I really respond to.

Out of all your combos, I like Leda Juliet the best.

OK. This is freaky. I was thinking of Leda last night and came up with Juniper Leda as a combo.

Leda was one of my first loves as a young name nerd. I came across Leonardo da V's sketch for Leda and the Swan and absolutely fell in love -- with the sketch and the name. almost and name with a "lee" sound in it is beautiful to my ears. Leda has that, plus the mythological sheen. What's not to love?

I'm running out the door or I would comment on more of your combos. For now, let's say that Leda Hermione, Leda Josephine and Leda Swanhild (scoundrel) catch my eye the quickest. How about Leda Xuan? ;-)

Here's hoping Leda comes back into favor with more people generally.
