[Opinions] Sage
For a boy, that is. On a list of Sunday school names the other day I saw one and was quite intrigued. What do you think and do you have combo ideas?

I like the name, but only for a girl actually.

Thanks for the suggestions! I like Sage Benjamin-- (oh weird, I have to interrupt my typing to tell you that on TV they just said the word sage. Crazy. Anyway...)-- Sage Ianto, Sage Maximillian, and Sage Julian. Sage Maximillian and Sage Julian are my favorites!

LOL, that's freaky:-)Glad you like them. Sage seems to work with names ending in -ian (Sage Sebastian would be my pick, but I know most people here don't like the same initials).

Sage was a name my friend, Jasmine, was considering for her son. I grew up around a girl-dog named Sage so it was hard for me to get into the boy-Sage vibe, but I could see how it would be neat. He ended up being named Liam. I think it's cute, but not as cute as Basil, if we are talking about herb names! I forgot about combos! Ok. right away I thought of Sage Charles and Sage Arthur. They just mingle together so well, and Charles and Arthur SEEM really sage, you know? Or something really bouncy and happy like Sage Franklin, Sage Rupert, or Sage Fredrick.

I don't really get a sage vibe from Charles or Arthur. They're both very golden and red and regal. But Sage Franklin and Sage Rupert are very nice!Oh yes, I do love Basil! (But not pronounced the same as the herb.)

I really like Sage, and I prefer it on a boy. I don't have any combo ideas at the moment though.

I was really surprised to discover Sage in use in Wales as a first name as far back as 1838. It was really rare and seems to have been a South Wales thing, but there were quite a few of them - mostly girls, but one or two boys. The boys were Sage Peregrine, Sage Taylor and Sage Morgan. I quite like the last one.

I love Sage Peregrine and Sage Morgan! How handsome. :)

Sage Morgan is really nice! I don't think Peregrine or Taylor quite fit with it.

I know of a little boy named Sage (about age 2). Sorry, but I don't like the name for a boy or a girl. Maybe it has something to do with my intense dislike of the herb!

HaI actually think of the color or the old wise person image over the herb. Though I'm not opposed to the herb, either!

I love the name Sage! William Sage? Or Richard Sage? Those sound good to me. How about Jason Sage? Maybe Jacob Sage? There are many possibilities for this one. Great name!

William Sage is wonderful! Although I swear almost any good name makes a great combo with William. :)
