[Opinions] Abby, Alba or Ebba?
You guys may find this silly of me, but it's important to me -- I want to honour the members of ABBA. As their names seem too out of place where I live, I thought I'd find some names which sound and look similar to "ABBA". So, I came up with Abby, Alba and Ebba. Which do you prefer and why? Thanks!

AlbaI love Alba and I would use it.
I also really like Ebba (and Edda for that matter).
The only one I'm not too fond of is Abby.

Alba!

AlbaI'd much rather be Alba, than Abby or Ebba. Ebba to me sounds like someone with a bad cold trying to say Emma. Abby seems so plain to me - like, the opposite of pretty, that kind of plain.

Alba!
Because it's gorgeous (I don't like the sound of Ebba at all) and a 'complete' name (Abby is definitely more of a nn to me).
I also just all-around think it's a great name. It's in my top 4 right now :o)
I had a roommate last year named Alba and she was fun. Before meeting her, I thought it was such a strange name, but seeing it on someone I was with day in and day out for 4 months, it really made the name grow on me. Plus, right now, I'm loving unfrilly girl names, which Alba seems to fit in with.

I think Abby is the nicest name, but it's quite common and ordinary. If you wanted a more intersting name I would go with Alba.

Abby, hands down.I have a fondness for Alba, too, but Abby is just the sweetest name of the bunch. I love it.

I love the name Ebba. :) Not so keen on Alba or Abby (I prefer Abbie).

I'll go for Alba. I used to detest the name, but it's grown on me.
Although i have to say, Jessica Alba isn't one of my favourite actresses.About the others...
Ebba - Cute, but to me it kind of sounds odd
Abby - Only when it's short for something. Generally, it's ok.I don't think it's silly to honour the members of Abba - i mean, somehow i really wanna honour Toše Proeski in a name somehow.

You should use Theodore for Toše =D

Or Theodora for a girl :)

Yeah, I think I like Theodora more =D

If you want to honor them, I would go with just Abba. To me, it isn't really honoring if you change the name. OR you could take a name from one of their songs or something, like Fernando

I'd do Abba, honestlyI mean, if it is really that important to you. It has an attractive sound and look to it. You could also do Abigail, nn Abba, if you are worried a little Abba's life would be made miserable without a "real" name to use.

Mamma mia!

My friends would actually physically kick the crap out of me for it! I have been tempted to use it before, though. Abigail's a little popular for me, especially in my year group :(

Well wouldn't they still kick the crap out of you if they knew you used Ebba as a sneaky way to honour Abba? what about using something from a favourite song?

Nah, they don't find that as bad ; ) Ebba is "more of a name". Well, I've thought of names from ABBA songs, and came up with:
Nina
Suzy (I have a cat with this name, so...)
Mia
Helen
Carrie
Summer
Autumn [from an unreleased song Hamlet III]
Elaine
CassandraI honestly can't see myself sing any of those =\ I'm amazingly awkward...

What about Fern, from Fernando? Or even Louise "Lou" from Waterloo?

... Fern... I think I might like that... I'd have to let it grow on me a bit more, but I guess I like it. Louise is my middle name. I really dislike it. I love Louisa, though :)
