what do you think of Maya? I would want it pronounced may-ah, is this your automatic pronunciation of Maya?

It has been on my mind lately and I am thinking of adding it to my list.

Can you think of any longish middle names that flow well with it?

Do you prefer it over Mia (mee-ah) and Maia (my-ah)?

Thanks in advance for any help, ideas or suggestions :)

I really like the name and I also prefer this spelling pronounced May-ah. Most people will pronounce it as MY-ah though. As for combos I like:

I'd never pronounce it your way! Sounds like the boss of a city. I prefer the Maya spelling, then Maia, and I pronounce them the same: my-ah. I don't like Mia at all.

Maya Antoinette? Maya Vivien? Maya Eleanor?

I like Maya -- pronounced my-ah, which is my automatic pronunciation, same as Maia and Mya. I like that name better than Mia or your pronunciation ("may-ah"). I would not think to pronounce it may-ah. I think if you wanted that pronunciation you should choose a different spelling - Maea? Meia? Meya?

I would pronounce Maya my-ah...the same as Maia. I don't really like the may-ah pronunciation, it feels awkward and forced to me.

What about Maelle? I'm not sure if it's my-elle or may-elle, but I like that one either way.

Maya is pronounced MY-uh to me, and I cannot imagine it any other way. As MY-uh, I like it; as MAY-uh, not so much.

I prefer Maya to Mia (I think the sound is too week) and Maia (the spelling seems insubstantial to me).

Pronounced MY-ah, I love it. Pronounced MAY-ah, I don't like it at all. I would automatically pronounce it MY-ah.

I greatly prefer Maya over the Mia and Maia spellings.

I like it. I think MEYE-ah is more common for Maya though. Maybe Meia?

I love the name of Maya , I had a girlfriend called Somaya , but we call her Maya since she was little also I know many girls called Maya as their name.it's beautiful.
About Mia , it's also beautiful.In Spanish means Mine and it pronounced mee-ah.I prefer Mia to Maia.

I think Maya is really pretty, it is the name of my second cousin who is about 9, and she is lovely. I would pronounce it may-uh.

I definitely prefer it to Mia, but I pronounce Maia the same way as Maya and like it equally.
