Yvonne was almost my name, after my mother's childhood friend. It's a good name, I like it.

I like Yvonne. I like that it's unusual but recognizable. It looks a bit strange because of the Yv part, so I might consider spelling it Evonne.

I like it fine and I'd think it was a good choice. It is sort of cool retro, IMO. I think of it as similar to Sheila, Heidi, Denise, Deirdre, Tanya - dated foreign-trendy names in the US. But not too negatively dated because it wasn't ever terribly popular.I prefer Yvette over Yvonne, for whatever that's worth. I thought Yvonne sounded aloof and glamorous when I was a little girl in the 70s, and that idea clings a little, and it's nms. But it doesn't seem like too much for a baby now.

I would be thrilled to meet a newborn named Yvonne.I love it because it is pretty, but tends to be overlooked.I do think she would have problems with people correctly pronouncing and spelling her name, though.

Yvonne is one of my favorite names. It's both chic and solid - something a girl can have her whole life. Both "Evie" and "Vonnie" can possibly be nicknames, though I'm not partial to Vonnie. And it starts with a 'y' which is a cool, unusual letter to start a name.

I would probably be taken aback, to be honest. It seems like such a random name, almost. It's not cool-retro like Olive or Hester or Matilda... it's sort of a limbo-name like Brenda or Linda or Denise or something. I'd think "I can't believe people are still naming babies this" because it's not so old it's new again, you know? But after some time I would probably love it. I know of a six year old Wendy and at first I was like "lol what? Who would named their baby Wendy" but it grew on me real fast.

Love it. Yvonne is an overlooked gem. It's very serene and mature (in a good way).

I think it's a nice name but it doesn't especially draw me.

I think it's a beautiful name. I'd be surprised to hear it on a new baby, especially in the first name slot. It's an elegant, grown-up kind of name, but hasn't been used enough to seem especially dated.
