[Opinions] Brandon
So Brandon has been on my mind today. It's not a name I've ever given much thought to before, however for some reason today I'm really liking it.What do you think of Brandon? Is it too dated? Have you ever met one in real life? MN suggestions?

I went through a stage of really liking Brandon so it still has a soft spot for me. Somehow, it sounds much more dignified than Brendan, Brenton, Brennan etc. I used to look after a Brandon in Vacation Care, he was a really, really nice boy. The only thing that frustrated me was that some staff didn't understand the name and so called him Brendan!!!

It's my name. I like it more the older I get; I never disliked it. I do dislike when people nasally sustain the 'r' consonant, which sounds....lower tier.My middle name is Bijan after my father.

I kind of like Brandon as a name. I think it's maybe a bit dated as an American name? Not too sure on that front, don't hear it often in the UK. Can't say I've actually met one...Middle names:
Brandon Matthew
Brandon George
Brandon Mark

There were several Brandon's in my grade and in the years above and below me in school. I'm close to 30, so for me it does feel a bit dated. It is a nice name though, and I do love Bran- names in general.

I don't think of it as dated, however I'm not great at American name popularity! I don't really like it, it seems so look-at-me masculine. Brendan is okay.

Brandon is a solid name, but it's beginning to sound dated. Most of the ones I know are at least 25, except for one guy who's still in high school. I've always preferred Brendan, but Brandon is also a good option.Brandon Julius

I dislike it because I think it's over-the-top macho. It tries too hard. My daughter dislikes it because it seemed that every other dopey obnoxious teenage boy whom she knew when she herself was a teenager was named Brandon.

I can't count the amount of Brandons I've known, let alone met, there have been so many! I've even had a crush on two different guys named Brandon. In my middle/high school they all just went by their last name. I'm still under 30 but I think it may be outdated already. I don't hate it but it doesn't stand out to me. The ones I knew were called Brandy when being teased. Anyway, it's much better than Braden and I do like the way you spell it.

It's getting dated. I still like it. I have known one - he's about 35 now I guess. I kind of hated him, but his name seemed cool. It's sort of spiffy-manly, like Holden or Jasper, IMO ... able to be a jock but dresses up very nice. Sisters: Lauren & Nicole (it's about that dated).Brandon Jay
Brandon Marshall
Brandon Thomas
Brandon Clark
Brandon Victor
Brandon Marcus
