[Opinions] Casper vs Caspian
Had a dream last night that we were having a boy and couldn't decide between Casper or Caspian..This was a nice dream because I actually really love both of those names and I can't decide which I like better! So.
1) What do you think of Casper and Caspian? Which do you prefer2) Which one sounds better with potential siblings: Daphne, Wilfred, Theodora and Rufus?3) What middle name would you pair with each? Casper ______ Stewart Arnold / Caspian _______ Stewart Arnold

Casper, but I'd spell it Caspar like the Three Wise Men. I don't like Caspian at all, or any book/film character names that have no other history of use.
Not sure that Caspar entirely fits with the siblings, but it's a nice name and wouldn't seem totally out of place.

1. I don't like either, but if I had to choose...I'd go with Caspian. Casper is too friendly ghost for me, and if you've ever seen the movie "Kids", that is a baaaad association.2. Casper, but I still dislike it.3. Caspian Thisbe Stewart Arnold. Don't ask me way, cuz I don't know. I just think it sounds good.

1. I like Casper, but Caspian is my all time favourite name. It's strong and handsome, but not too harsh sounding, energetic and boyish, but can still age well, and mostly good associations. 2. As much as I absolutely love Caspian, and I think it can work in the sibset, I feel like Casper has a slightly more vintage feel that fits in better.3. Maybe Casper Timothy Stewart Arnold and Caspian Lorenzo Stewart Arnold or Caspian Jay Stewart Arnold. I like the suggestion of Casper Leopold Stewart Arnold too.

Why not have both Caspian for the legal formality with Casper as a n/n - pet-name, allowing the child to pick and chose by his preference? I would admit difficulty with one middle name to go with either possibility, due mostly to the diphthong in Caspian, but how about: Casper _Lex/Lexington_ Stewart Arnold / Caspian _Luther/Lutherford_ Stewart Arnold?I actually like the diphthong, so I do not mention this as a critique, criticism or negative attribute in any way.

1. I like Caspian better in theory, and Casper better in practice. I love the Narnia books, but the connection is too overt for me (like Hermione would be for Harry Potter). That's just a personal thing though, if I was actually naming a child. I think I'd like to meet a little Caspian!2. They both sound really good with the siblings' names. 3. Casper Sebastian Stewart Arnold, Caspian Victor Stewart Arnold

1) Both are okay, but both are too well associated with characters. I prefer Caspian, however, because it looks rounded off and complete.
2) With the other siblings I think Casper sounds better with Daphne and Wilfred and Caspian sounds better with Theodora and Rufus.
3) I would pair Edmund with them.

Casper by a long shot -- it's classic yet rare. I like it a lot.Caspian, by comparison, is obnoxious. I can't stand it.

I think Casper sounds slightly better with your other names, but Caspian doesn't sound bad. Casper gives me an older feel while Caspian is more modern I think is why.I prefer Caspian. Casper gets the friendly ghost theme music stuck in my head and that's tough to overcome.Casper Horatio Stewart
Casper Miles Stewart
Casper Francis Stewart

Casper is ok but not a fave of mine, I much prefer Jasper obviously. Caspian on the other hand is great. It reminds me of Prince Caspian from the C.S. Lewis Narnia stories. I think either name would work with the other names mentioned. Casper Leopold Stewart Arnold and Caspian Dexter Stewart Arnold.

I probably prefer Jasper, but I know a few and it seems to be getting very popular so that makes it less appealing to me. (That and two of the Jasper's I teach are real shits.)I love Caspian because of the book, it was a childhood favourite. Casper Leopold Stewart - this was actually a combo that husband suggested last night! We are in a show at the moment and Leopold is the main characters name so Dave has become very interested in Leo/pold.

You could always go with Jaspian, haha!

In Victoria, Jasper has stayed pretty steady for years now. You hear the name every now and again, but it's probably not as popular as you think. I'm happy about that! Caspian does sound stronger to me.Caspian Leo Stewart Arnold would also work nicely.

I like both as well, for different reasons. I think Casper fits right in with those siblings though, while Caspian doesn't. Casper Simon Stewart
