[Opinions] Angel (M)
How do you feel about Angel on a male? (I guess you state your opinions on it for a female too) For a girl do you prefer the more feminine variants like Angelina, Angela, Angelica, or Angelique?

It reads more masculine to me, but with the expectation of Spanish. It sounds good with that pronunciation, while in English it seems a bit too much as a name, for me, whether boy or girl. I'm not the most fond of the various feminine variants, either, except Angelique is nice.
Maybe i just don't like the -gel sound?

Angel is a pussy name for a boy. It’s too childish, soft and girly. Angel is ok for a girl, but I would never think of using it. The other feminine variants are so girly and annoying, especially Angelique.
On a man I find it kinda sexy, in a goofy OTT kind of way. But only said the Spanish way.

Well, I was a big fan of the show Angel so I like it. I don't like any of the feminizations of the name. Angel is fine for a boy or girl.
Usually I'm a big fan of frilly versions of names but for some reason I find the likes of Angelina, Angela, Angelica, and Angelique to be ugly. I just don't like those sounds. Especially Angelique. Ick.

I agree Angelique is a bit....off. I think it's that "leek" sound.
Finally. Somebody who doesn’t like Angelique. That name is so ugly. -que names on girls looks weirdly ugly to me.
I don't like it for either. Angela, Angelique, Angelina and Angelica are nice
Yeah, I definitely prefer the Spanish pronunciation of ahn-hel as well. I know a few and it's a handsome name.
