Marlie seems over-cutesy to me, and like it ought to be a nickname ... for Marlena would be good. As a full name, I reckon it should be spelt Marley.Sydney is nice, though it sounds a bit hard. I'm surprised by how fashionable it is in some places ... I only know one woman, in her 70s, named Sydney.I don't think either of these needs a nickname. Marlie looks like a nickname already, and Sydney simply doesn't have any. (since "Sid" is more an older gent's name)._____________________________________________________________________Elinor

Sydney strikes me as an artsy girl. I prefer Marlie spelled Marley, and I think it's fine for a girl. Sydney and Marlie make a cute sibset.

Marlie, I prefer Marley, and I prefer it on a boy.
Sydney is okay, but again, I prefer it on a boy.Despite that fact, I think they sound alright as a sibset, though I definately would never use they

I love Sydney for a girl, but I prefer Marlie spelt Marley, and i prefer it for a boy. My little cousin is called Marley and he has a big sister called Caprii.

I personally dont like the names becuase they are way to common and overused but I think they go good as a sibset.

I actually like them both thought they are so different from my regular style. I prefer Marley spelled this way though.

I don't like Sydney, but Marlie (spelled both ways) is very cute. I have a friend named Marlie Kansas (first and middle name), so I'm kind of biased toward it. ;)
