[Opinions] Theodora or Evangeline?
Which do you prefer: Theodora or Evangeline?
I like Evangeline Mary, then Theodora Sophia.

Evangeline is a great name. It is dreamy, innocent, but with a determined and missionary-like meaning.
Evangeline
Evangeline
I'll take Evangeline, simply because Eva is a family name and I also prefer its rhythm. Neither is to my taste: long and clunky and overly religious.
I love both, but I'll say Evangeline for today.
Evangeline. It's smoother.
I prefer Evangeline, which is lighter and more graceful than the heavy, clunky Theodora. I also love Theodore for a boy, so Theodora is automatically shunted down my girls list.
Evangeline Mary is beautiful, albeit religious.
Theodora Sophia is very nice, although it can sound a bit matronly. I prefer Thea for a younger name, but THEE-uh rhymes with Sophia. Perhaps the German pronunciation for both names: Thea Sophia (TEH-a zo-FEE-a).

I prefer Theodora but Evangeline Mary is the better combo.
Evangeline tenfold. Not only is it my favorite girl name, but Theodora also doesn't appeal to me it feels too old and clunky. I prefer Theodosia.
I think I prefer Theodora. I love the nn Thea. Evangeline sounds nice, but it seems a bit religious to me and I think I would personally rather be a Theodora than an Evangeline.
Theodora!

I'm biased as I have a 6 year old Theodora lol. I still absolutely adore her name, no regrets. Evangeline seems like a name that I should like... but I don't!
Evangeline. I think it has nicer nickname options and I like that it has “angel” in it. It also has a nicer flow, Theodora is kinda clunky in my opinion.
I prefer Sophia over Mary though.

Evangeline. I love the meaning and the nns Evie or Eva are super cute.
Theodora. Evangeline sounds too angelic and fussy.
