I think Lorenzo and Alonzo are really interesting as examples of Italian or Spanish names that were in wide use in the United States before there were noticeable numbers of Italian or Spanish immigrants. They were both fairly common in the early 19th century United States, perhaps having been originally taken up from characters in some of Shakespeare's plays.

Perfectly fine, but I find it a bit boring. I love the nickname Ren.

It just doesn't happen where I live. Lawrence is a family ln which I might have considered as a mn, given enough sons, and Laura is joint top of my list of Favourite Girl Names Ever, but that's as close as I can get.

It's ok. Ordinary but a bit slick in a way that could be charming or not. I'd only consider using it to honor a Loretta or Loren.I prefer it to Leonardo and Orlando, I guess, even though Orlando seems more dashing.

I love it! To me it's an OTT cheesy romance type name, maybe because it reminds me of Lothario (also a great name). Lorenzo is beautiful. It's funny, I like Lorenzo, but just Enzo makes me itchy, I find it very annoying.
