I actually wrote a story years ago about a little girl who could talk to animals. Her name was Veronica.

Veronica is cute actually, reminds me of another "cool girl" name: Roxanne. (Many find it "girly girl" type of name, but I can easily imagine it on a tomboy).
Love that it has lots of nickname options.
I might use it as a FN, and for some reason I can't imagine it on a MN spot.
