[Opinions] Estee and Esther - wdyt?
I used to dislike Esther but it has grown on me, Estee is cute. I read _Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots_ and how I began to like it.

I have always enjoyed the name Esther; I think sounds very flowy and beautiful. As for Estee, I'm not entirely partial to it, I don't know why.

Esther and Estee are both fine names. I very much prefer Estera.

I love the way Esther sounds, not *as* keen on how it looks. I think the "sth" part rubs me the wrong way. But I like it; it was the legal first name of a poster here who passed away, and I miss her a lot. She hated it, but it still makes me think of her, so I love it for that. Esther has a really nice quality of being both soft and gentle as well as crisp and sparkling.Estee is elegant, makes me think of the makeup/beauty product line that I remember my mom and grandma using, Estée Lauder. That stuff, and the name, always seemed so glam and grown up.

Now I'm curious who passed away.

Thanks for letting me know. I remember her. So sad.

I like Esther but strongly prefer Hester, which is more mysterious. Estee is cute as a nickname.

I like Esther, don't like Estee at all

Esther is just OK; certainly better than Hester, but too biblical for me. I've only met one Esther, and she is very nice. Estee is too cosmetic.
