Girls:Molli -- prefer Molly by a mile, but great name
Savannah -- love it
Bailey -- it's okay. I know too many labradors named Bailey for this to work on a little girl anymoreBoys:Grant -- nice, prefer Graham
Blake -- very cool, but again, a popular dog name
Cole -- wouldn't use it, but it's quite niceOverall, I think they have pretty darn good taste. Despite Tippins's comment, I believe that "boring" is better than brash and bizarre.

Molli: I like Mollie better, but its still a good name.
Savannah: Awesome name

Grant: Great name!
Blake: Eh. Okay. Could be wayyyy worse.
Cole: Could be short for Colin/Collin

Oh, I agree. All large families seem to be such a waste in terms of just the names. The names are OK, just trendy and boring. And I doubt I'll ever even have one kid (we'll see what my wife and I want, but right now it isn't something I want). Sigh. I have so much teen angst about this topic. The names are okay, though. Not exciting to a name nerd, and certainly trendy, but names that will get them through the day just fine and not matchy thank God.I love Molly as a nickname for Mary and am learning to accept it as a full name, but dislike the spelling Molli.

Well...I'd rather see "boring" names like Lily, Katie, Molly, Andrew, Ethan, and Matthew than "interesting" names like Lataunda, Zephyrine, Journey, Indigo, Prochorus, or Vespasian. And I'm pretty sure most kids would rather have those "boring" names.

That's big talkYou're stepping up to speak for an awful lot of people. I'm not sure on what basis you think you can make the claim that "most" kids would rather have "boring" names. I have four kids, and I know lots of kids, and I certainly don't think "most" of them would prefer "boring" names. Several of the teens I know are notably, vocally irritated that they got "boring" names. I know a young Tracy Ann, for only one example, who tells me every time I see her that "I wish my mom had come up with a cool name like Scarlett for me."I think Zephyrine and Indigo have way, way more character than Grant and Bailey. If I could have named myself and had to choose between Zephyrine and Bailey, I can promise you Bailey would be out the window. Ick.

As a Tracy myself...I must concur with my fellow Tracy. =/

I would SOrather be named Zephyrine or Prochorus or Vespasian than Bailey or Cole. And I'd DEFINITELY rather "see" them. (Seriously, did you go through my PNL?)I don't mind boring names when they're good - John, Ethan, Andrew, Lily - but these names are all boring AND bad.
....
..
Vespasian is so so so so so much better than Grant or Savannah. Incomparable. You are comparing olympian gods to vermin.

Yeah, that. I don't like names that would be hard to bear, but um, Zéphyrine isn't one of those. Your list of "boring names" also was a different catagory- Matthew, Andrew and Lily is a different ball game from Cole and Bailey. I didn't like all the "interesting" names you listed, but I like a lot of names more interesting than Savannah that would not make a child's life hell. Names like Katharina, Cornelia, Eugenia, Benedict, Roderick...Frederick, for goodness' sake. Frederick is a very interesting name.

Horrible taste in names. Bland, and completely unimaginative.

I don't like any of them. They're very trendy.

Molli - I don't hate it, but I don't particularly care for it either. I'd much rather see the spelling Molly, though.Savannah - I really like this name. I know it's getting popular, but there's something about it that I find to be very pretty.Bailey - I only like this for a girl, but it's more of a GP for me.Grant - Love it...one of my top favorites for a boy! I think it's such a strong, handsome, masculine name - has a soap opera feel to it without being over the top.Blake - dnmsaa. I have never cared for it, and I don't think I ever will like it. There's just something about it that I don't find appealing.Cole - This has grown on me a lot, and I'm really starting to like it. I'm not sure that it's a name I'd use, personally, but I don't mind seeing it on someone else's son.

My thoughts:Molli - I hate it; always have, always will. I'd prefer it as a nn for something, like Amalia.
Savannah - Eh, Savannah's always been a rather trendy/trashy name to me. I suppose it is at least a pretty word and inspires some lovely imagery.
Bailey - Blech. This name would be a million times better on a boy.Grant - I like it. It sounds like the name a handsome, strong man on a soap opera would have.
Blake - Ick. Preppy name.
Cole - I adore it. It's recently found its way on my PNL. I'm glad the family doesn't seem to be using it as a nn for Colton. Cole is charming on its own.

TrittoGrant and Cole are both nice, but I dislike the rest.

DittoExcept that I don't like Cole. The other five are about what I would have said.

I would rather see Margaret "Molly" or "Maggie", Savannah, Bridget, Grant, Blake, and Nicholas. Oh well. :(

I don't like any of those names. Savannah and Blake aren't that bad, though.

I like all three boys' names, actually. I think they're not too trendy or too old-fashioned and they sound very good as a sibling set. The three girls' names don't fit together at all in my opinion. I agree with you about the misspelling of Molly. I dislike the name Bailey on both genders. I do, however, like the name Savannah. Though it's very popular, I still think it's elegant.

The names are fairly nice. I agree with you about Molli/Molly, the only problem I have is that the endings of Molli and Bailey are too similar and really don't fit with Savannah.
