Old name list I found from 1995
While looking through old diaries I came across this list from 1995 (when I was in my teens). Interesting how little some of my favourites have changed over the years.
F = first name, M = middle (obvious enough!). I've marked them with one * for names I still like and ** for names I'd still consider using.
Davina - F **
India - F **
Sophie - F/M *
Cassie - F *
Fiona - F *
Junia - M
Artemis - M
Maria - M *
Kate - M
Katharine - M *
Margaret - M - I think this would have been honouring someone I then knew called Margaret. I don't recall liking the name that much.
Rachel - M
Toby - F/M *
Christian - M
Edward - M *
Steven - F/M
Thomas / Tom - F/M **
Nicholas - M * - I'd consider this as a first name now although I realise it's maybe a bit dated.
Alan - F/M - Alan??! - I think I fancied someone called Alan back then which influenced my feelings on the name!
Aidan - F/M *
Sean - M ** - I'd use this as a first name too.

You had good taste! There's not a bad name on the list. I think I'd just discovered Irish names back then & was filling up terrible stories with them - the longer and Irish-er the better. *eyerolls former self*
I really like Nicholas too. Mr Pie has a whole string of them in his ancestry - six generations of Nicholases, father to son, in one family. There were 397 of them born in the UK in 2012, so I don't think it's looking too dated yet.

I like:
Davina
Sophie
Fiona
Artemis
Katharine - only like it spelled Katherine
Christian
Edward
Thomas - kind of
Nicholas
Aidan
The only ones I'd consider using is Edward and Christian. I like Nicholas a lot too, but my name is Nicole and my brother is Nicklas, so I think we've had our fair share of Nic- names.
